Man injured at work after falling from scaffolding

Some people have a fear of heights because they are afraid of what might happen if they fall. For individuals who work in the construction industry, the possibility of falls is a significant hazard that they face, sometimes on a daily basis. While many North Carolina workers are able to make it home from their construction projects unscathed, others are not so lucky and become injured at work.

It was recently reported that a worker in another state was injured after a construction-related fall. The man was working on the seventh story of a building and was utilizing scaffolding to carry out undisclosed duties when he fell off that scaffolding. The man fell to the floor inside the building. It was not mentioned what may have caused him to fall or whether any other workers were around at the time.

The incident resulted in the man injuring his back, and he was unable to move or stand at the time of the accident. Details on the man's condition and any medical attention he received were not given in the report. It was noted that this man was the second worker to be injured on this building project just in the last few weeks.

Being injured at work is no one's idea of a good day. Unfortunately, many construction workers suffer injuries on a regular basis due to the dangerous nature of their jobs. On a brighter note, if this type of scenario affects North Carolina workers, they may be able to qualify for workers' compensation and receive financial help for accident-related difficulties.
