Industrial accidents: North Carolina explosion causes death

Jobs of any kind can pose health risks to employees. If an individual does suffer a work-related illness or injury, his or her life could be severely impacted. It was recently reported that such an accident took place in North Carolina. Apparently, two workers at a wood plant suffered injuries when an explosion took place. At the time of the report, it was unclear what may have caused the accident, and no speculation on contributing factors was provided. The incident occurred at approximately 3 p.m. It was was unclear how many workers were in the area at the time of the incident.

The two injured workers were transported from the scene to an area hospital. Reports indicated that one of the men succumbed to the injuries he suffered nearly 12 hours after the explosion. The other man was still under care at a trauma center at the time of the report. Investigations into the fatal event were underway.
