Man injured in construction accident after fall off scaffold

Construction projects are always taking place in North Carolina and around the country. Because of these ongoing projects, there is always a chance that a construction accident could take place that leaves a person seriously injured. Unfortunately, many workers are harmed in such incidents every year, and they often need workers’ compensation to help cover financial losses.

One worker in another state may be in need of such benefits after a recent accident. Reports stated that the man was working as part of a construction crew on a building when he fell off of a scaffold. It was unclear what may have led the man to fall, but reports stated that he fell approximately 15 to 20 feet. His identity had not yet been determined at the time of the report, but it was noted that he is 53 years old.

Rescue workers came to the scene and had to work to get the man out of the building. Due to the construction, there was no stairwell or elevator available to easily get him out. Fortunately, they were able to get to him, and he was taken to an area hospital. It was noted that he suffered a broken leg and other injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

It is lucky that the man involved in this construction accident is expected to survive, but even injuries that are not life-threatening can have a major impact on a person’s life. Any North Carolina worker who has suffered injuries on the job may want to gain information on possible workers’ compensation options. Awarded financial benefits can help with medical bills, lost wages and other factors associated with the repercussions of on-the-job accidents.
